Clinical Internship in Optometry

The Clinical Internship in Optometry at AEDI is a structured, hands-on clinical training program designed to provide advanced practical exposure and real-time patient management experience.
The program focuses on strengthening clinical competence, diagnostic accuracy, and decision-making skills across multiple optometry specialties, including:

  • Pediatric Optometry
  • Ocular Prosthesis
  • Low Vision Rehabilitation
  • Ocular Disease Evaluation & Management
  • Myopia Control
  • Instrumentation & Diagnostic Procedures
  • Community & Public Health Optometry
  • OT (Operation Theatre) Skills & Pre- and Post-operative Care Assistance

Interns will gain exposure to OT protocols, surgical assistance observation, sterilization techniques, patient preparation, and post-operative follow-up care under expert supervision.

In addition to clinical training, interns will actively participate in community outreach and charitable eye care services through Niramaya Charitable Trust, contributing to vision screening camps and helping underserved populations receive quality eye care.
