Dr Charu Gupta obtained her basic medical training and ophthalmology post-graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. She completed her long term training in vitreoretinal diseases from Aravind eye hospital, Madurai in 1999.

She has been working as vitreoretina consultant at AEDI from 2005. In addition to being a skilled vitreo retinal surgeon, she is also interested in the management of AMD.

A gold Medalist in medical school, she is actively involved in research and has a large number of presentations at National and International Conferences. She has also co-authored chapters in textbooks on AMD, Diabetic Vitrectomy & MIVS in Diabetics.
