Senior Glaucoma Consultant
Dr. (Prof.) Manav Deep Singh is a distinguished Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist with over 37 years of experience in Ophthalmology. With an extensive background in clinical care, surgery, academics, and research, he has made significant contributions to the development of glaucoma services, training, and education in India.
He completed his MBBS (1984) and MS Ophthalmology (1988) from the University of Delhi. He subsequently pursued a Fellowship in Glaucoma at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad, followed by advanced training in Phacoemulsification at H.V. Desai Eye Hospital, Pune.
At present, he is:
• Senior Consultant – Glaucoma Services, Ahooja Eye & Dental Institute, Gurugram (Since 1 September 2026)
• Former Head – Department of Ophthalmology, ABVIMS & Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi
• Founder and Former Head – Glaucoma Services, ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi

During his distinguished academic career, Dr. Singh headed Glaucoma Services for 22 years at ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital. His contributions to ophthalmic academics and research include editing the book “Basics of Glaucoma,” authoring nine book chapters, and publishing more than 30 articles in national and international journals.
He has also served as a member of the Government of India’s Glaucoma Task Force and contributed to the inclusion of glaucoma in the National Programme for Control of Blindness. He has held leadership positions in the Glaucoma Society of India and the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, along with extensive involvement in postgraduate teaching, examinations, faculty selection, and professional training.
